Learning Reflection 1-13-14

During the previous two weeks of class we have learned how to make an MLA style report. We typed up research reports and learned various other things along the the way. For example we learned how to make citations, footnotes, and add the page number to each page. I didn't know this until the past two weeks when the teacher taught us how to. This will serve useful when I well if I go to college or in a future job. Maybe I'm actually not sure. That's all.

Learning reflection 12-12-2013

During this week my computer class was told to participate in the hour of code. We watched tutorials on how to program and played the games that they had on the website. I learned how programming works and how to sort program. It was interesting and all but I still wouldn't consider this as a career choice.

Learning reflection 11-22-13

During this week, I've spent my time researching my career choice. I also made my own power point presentation about my career choice that included the requirements need for this job, requirements, job out look and salary. I learned a lot about what is done during this job and about how to get to that position. This week has also verified that I want to do this as my career. I still have a back up career if it doesn't work but I will try my very best to be a K9 unit handler.

Learning reflection 11-8-13

In the past week I learned about resumes, different careers and what different things in when in a job. For example I learned about median pay, levels of education required for a job, annual pay and the growth rate. We looked at all of these in class and found out how to look for each occupation. This could be useful for me when I'm looking for a career.

10/28 Learning Reflection

During the previous week of this class, the class learned about resumes and what they you need them for. A resume is a document that states what previous work experience one has, their education, and what skills they have. They can be used for a new job that you want to apply for. The resume will notify the employer if you are fit for the job they are offering.

Post 4: Netiqutte

According to Dictionary.reference.com, the definition of  "Netiquette" is the informal code of behavior on the internet. It's important to use good netiquette because it shows that you're considerate of others that are also on the internet. Also it demonstrates that you are mature enough to be on the internet. Netiquette can be used while on social media websites, emailing someone else, posting a comment and while instant messaging someone. I honestly think that I use good netiquette when I'm on the internet and when I'm text messaging someone. I'm never rude to anyone unless they provoke me first, I use proper spelling, and I also try not to use abbreviations.

Post 3: Digital Footprint

A digital footprint is a trail of activity that a person has left by someone in the digital world. It's important to have a positive digital imprint so the futures employers can see. If one were to have a negative imprint, it can affect whether or not they can accepted for a job opportunity, school, etc. A negative imprint could be caused by the people who one interacts with in the digital world. A person can spark up a conflict in the internet by tagging you in inappropriate comments or photos that can seen by virtually anyone. I have searched my own digital footprint and have only found this blog. I noticed that there are so many people with my name. Moving on, if I had a negative Imprint I could filter the things I post onto websites like Facebook and this blog. One can improve their digital imprint by making a print release, creating an Ebook, and by making a Linked in account.
Some words and phrases that I have learned while making this post are:
